UGL Broome Fuel Tanks Deconstruction

Scope of Works:
Mainline Demolition was engaged by Taylors Engineering to demolish ATOM redundant fuel tanks BRM10 and BRM5.
The scope included:
- Deconstruction of tanks in two stages during live operation site
- BRM10 Tank – 9.8m high steel storage tank
- BRM5 Tank – 10.1m high by 12.9m diameter steel storage tank
- Conduct all work without any harm to the environment or adjacent assets
- Confirm all substances that can contaminate the environment are removed, e.g, hydrocarbons
Equipment deployed:
- 220-tonne crane
- 2 articulating boom lift
- Semi trailers for delivery and scrap removal
Project Highlights:
- Project completed with zero incidents and zero harm to the environment
- >99% recycled or repurposed
- Completed on time
