Scope of Works

Mainline was engaged by Evolve Bayswater Alliance to demolish Bayswater bridge, train station and various structures.

The demolition scope encompassed:

Leake St Underpass
Bayswater Station
Station Underpass
King William St Rail Bridge
King William St PSP Bridge

All works were to be carried out with strict attention to detail and protective measures, ensuring no impact or damage occurred to the newly constructed bridge and station which ran alongside demolition works.

Equipment Deployed

1 x 50-tonne excavator
3 x 40-tonne excavators
Demolition attachments including rock breakers, pulverisers, grabs, and shears
Semi Tippers

Project Highlights

Project completed with zero incidences and within 48-hour shutdown of King William Street
Greater than 99% of materials were recycled or repurposed
