Scope of Works
Mainline was engaged by Seymour Whyte to demolish the existing Wellington Dam Bridge and associate infrastructure.
The scope encompassed demolition, removal and disposal of:
- Steel girders part of bridge deck (24 girders x 12.2m each)
- Concrete as part of composite beams
- Concrete as part of cantilever walkway
- Existing concrete abutment and wing walls
- Existing concrete pier walls
- Existing guardrail
- Existing surfacing
- Existing kerbs
- Asbestos mastic

- 36-tonne excavator with demolition attachments
- Concrete cutting equipment

- Project completed on time with zero incidences
- Greater than 99% of non hazardous materials were recycled or repurposed
