RIA Berth 4 & 5 Demolition

Location: Rottnest Island, WA
Duration: May 2022 – June 2022
Scope of Works:
Geomarine engaged Mainline to demolish the existing Berth 4 and 5 located at Rottnest Island. The scope included:
- Design and verification of safe lift programme
- Removal of timber waling and chafers
- Removal of deck and loading to barge
- Maintain silt curtain for sediment control and environmental protection
Equipment deployed:
- 40-tonne tracked crane
- Work boat
- Float bricks
- 2 high powered floor saws
- Personal Portable Flotation Devices
Project Highlights:
- Delivered on time with zero incidences
- Successfully completed during off-season despite adverse wet and windy conditions
