FMG Fuel Tanks

Scope of Works:
Mainline Demolition was engaged by Enviro Pacific to demolish three redundant fuel tanks at FMG’s Thomas Yard in Port Hedland. The scope included:
- Conduct all work to the highest HSEC standards without any incidents or LTIs.
- Conduct all work without any harm to the environment.
- Confirm de-energised status all energy sources to enable safe demolition.
- Confirm all substances that can contaminate the environment are removed, e.g, hydrocarbons.
- Demolition of two diesel tanks (Tank 1 & 2) and ancillary infrastructure.
- Demolition of Thomas Yard tank (Tank 3).
Equipment Deployed:
- 30t Excavator with shears and grab
- Semi tipper trucks
Project Highlights:
The project was completed with zero incidents and zero harm to the environment. >99% of materials were recycled or repurposed and the project was completed on time.
