Tronox Cooljarloo North Mine Decommissioning

Project Overview:
The Cooljarloo mine, located 170 km north of Perth, produces heavy mineral concentrates through dredging and dry mining operations. Mainline were engaged by Tronox to demolish and remove numerous redundant structures at the Cooljarloo mine site.
Scope of Works:
Demolition and removal of redundant assets and steel infrastructure around Tronox’s Cooljarloo mine operations including:
- Entire north mine concentrator, cyclone and CD tank structure, walkways and stairways.
- Redundant steel infrastructure along haul road and access road including pump platform.
Equipment Deployed:
- 40t excavator with attachments.
- 30t excavator with attachments.
- Oxy cutting equipment.
Project Outcomes:
Over 1000t of steel was processed and removed.
